hanging a door is a great way to ruin an otherwise pleasant morning
I hung a door today. Everything swings smooth and is level, but only after it looked like a disaster was unfolding; the day was saved by shims.

the button that saves water
Our new bathroom is very small, has a door that is only 2 feet wide, and holds a special toilet: it has a small button for small needs and a larger button for larger waste.

A finished bathroom doorway
The door went up on Tuesday and now our new bathroom is 99% finished: today the last of the moulding went up. There is some minor caulking to do and some painting eventually, but we can put the tools away and sweep up the hallway.

After walking by them for six weeks, today was the day to install the new balusters.
