towards the great pinking of July

School was out almost 2 1/2 weeks ago: we’ve taken our vacation to California and Portland, I’ve done my volunteer web dev for the season, and so finally today was the first real house work day of the summer. Tomorrow begins what should be the most productive 5 or 6 weeks that we’ve had around here in some time…

I cut the grass today to clear the workspace around the house, and then organized the tool shed and took stock of what we have and what we’ll need. It looks like we ought to be able to make it though the season without screwing up our finances.

A bit past our 30 day deadline, tomorrow will see putting together a handrail for the front steps (like the one pictured above). After that, we pick where where we just completely stopped almost 2 years ago and finally finish the siding and painting on the long side and out front.
