having moved a fence…

The wall has been finished and the fence, with teamwork, cursing, and bleeding, has been moved back. The old parking pad and the sloping part of the yard that used to be orphaned to the alley are now inside the fence.

We went southside and scored some Craig’s List bamboo yesterday after work. Cutting bamboo is easier than we’d anticipated; getting it home was kind of goofy.

Out yard is so much less dreary than than back in March. We planted day lillies, hostas, and ghost ferns this weekend, and started painting the shed.

stressing out over a damn tree

A little while back, we had C.S. Flournoy cut down some trees in our back yard. At the time, they cut down the wrong tree; today they came back and planted a very small Red-Tipped Photinia in the empty spot
