reuse of old parking

We have a cement pad on the back alley that used to be some kind of garage. The pad had apparently been some kind of neighborhood dump for a while there, because it was filled with trash when we bought the house. We have a better plan…

The pad has a grassy area next to it, big enough to have been parking, that is also outside of the fence. Our plan is build walls and fencing to bring this space back into our yard, and set it up as a sunken patio. Part of this plan involves getting enough dirt to bring the sloping grassy area up to level with the rest of the yard.
