a large pink wall

After finally being able to find the right shade of pink, we put the first coat on the partially-resided back wall of the house.

It took 4 hours and 2 different ladders to get up this first coat. We’re anticipating getting the 2nd coat put on tomorrow morning. The trim is primed but not finished — it’ll be a little while before we get back around to pick that up.

We’re brushing and rolling the paint and feeling old-fashioned about it. The work started and finished relatively early, as it is hot a f*ck out there, especially up on the ladder. The sun started coming over top as we were finishing up by the roofline and we knew that it was time to be done for the day.

(While I was up on the ladder, there were 2 guys working on a car in the back yard next door and listing to the most ridiculous music that I have ever heard. I was like, “Did that song just say what I though it said? and what about a talking monkey?”. It was a nice distraction, in a one-off kind of way.)
