more privacy fence

A few weeks ago, we put a run of privacy fencing across the big side yard. The success of that project and recent reports of stolen heat/HVAC units compelled us to bring the fence up on the other side of the house, too.

Now slightly more secure.

Following the slight sticker shock of the earlier fence project, we’ve decided that we have to re-use as much of the existing fence as possible. While a little ragged, we’ll save money and cut down on refuse all at the same time.

This week we brought the fence forward in the small side yard, to envelope last year’s new AC units. After our recent loss of a ladder and the reports stolen heat/HVAC units, we decided that now was really the time to get this taken care of.

We’ll need to rerun the rest of the fence one of these days. It is wonky and loose, but is doing the job. We’ve only done at best 1/3 of the fence…

As a nice side benefit, the fence hides some of the last remaining shingle-covered wall. We are a little more safe and a little less ugly.
