a small vacation

It is stupid hot here these days days and we’ve been working so hard recently that we rewarded ourselves with a vacation to a hotel downtown that has a roof-top pool.

The view from 17-floors up puts Richmond on display nicely. The city fades out into the green of the neighborhoods…

It’s nice seeing photos of Richmond again.

I used to live in Hopewell which is about 30 miles south. If your ever down that way could you get some photos of that city and post them to your site. Virginia has so much history, it’s a fun place to live.

I love reading your site. It’s neat seeing how far you’ve progressed in your restoration.

Historic Richmond Foundation has some info about and photos of Monroe Ward, the neighborhood around the hotel.
