We planted two trees, have been watching grass grow, and had some roses sneak up on us.

Now that it’s warm, we’ve been prepping the new porch to finish painting. We’ve decided that the screen was probably installed backwards.

painting ceilings is not fun
I’ve spent the last few afternoons after work making the back porch ready to be painted, puttying egregious nail holes and priming priming priming.

mitsu returns!
Last summer, a three-legged cat became part of our outside herd. Sometime in the early winter he stopped coming around and we assumed the worst. This afternoon, though, Mitsu was seen chillin’ in the new grass.

unfinished painting still feels good
All of last week we worked to prep the back porch for painting this past weekend. We didn’t finish painting, but we accomplished enough to change the whole feel of the downstairs porch.
