“American Memory from the Library of Congress is a gateway to rich primary source materials relating to the history and culture of the United States. The site offers more than 7 million digital items from more than 100 historical collections.”
One of those 7,000,000 items is a pamphlet archaically titled “Souvenir views: Negro enterprises & residences, Richmond, Va”. This pamphlet includes pictures of houses, businesses and street views from around Jackson Ward, Broad St, and Church Hill.

How did you ever find something so fascinating? I’m trying to use that same site to find info on my house, and it’s bringing up stuff that has no relevance. :(
That photo’s really cool! Are you going ot make a copy to hang in your house?
I’m pretty sure that I found the link to it on the messageboards at [ http://www.richmondcitywatch.com/ ].
