siewers, our new best friend

We learn where we can get the siding and other stuff made out of wood that we will need.

The other day I suddenly remembered that my friend Clay (that used to work around here as a carpenter) used to go to place called Siewers. As we are still looking for better siding, we figured that we’d cruise by and see what they were all about. It turns out that they are going to be one of those places that we will find to be indispensable — they have siding and columns and pickets and EVERYTHING! Their mission statement is “To operate and maintain a genuine state-of-the-art lumberyard and mill for Richmond remodelers, with service that is second to none”. It looks like it could also be “if you are working on an old house and need something made of wood, we are your place” (or something like that).
